Changqing Kao, PhD, Director of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Services, joined Sentient Medical Systems in 2001. He received his MD from Bethune Medical College in Changchun, China and his PhD in Neurophysiology from the Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Kao has supervised over 400 DBS cases. He received the Chancellor's Research Award from Vanderbilt University in 2006 and the American Society for Neurophysiological Monitoring Research Prize (jointly) in 2008.
